The re-homing has gone well lately, although we still have Bentley and Zonda who have not had anyone come to see them at all. I can't understand it as they are so pretty and well mannered and will make great pets. Perhaps people are waiting until their summer holidays are over. There is a new litter of 7 babies arriving on Saturday, all little lops, so that should keep me busy for a while. They will be neutered on the 8th September so long as they are big enough by then. The guinea pigs that have arrived over the last week or so have basically come in and within a few days have been adopted! This tends to be the pattern with guinea pigs, apart from in the depth of winter when even the most hardy piggie fan does not want to take on any more. I have a large list of bunnies to call in during late August, so there will be lots of new little faces appearing on the animals available page from about the 24th August onwards. The dove continues to do well in the aviary and so far is showing no signs of distress, which is good news. |
