Ethel is 3 years old and sadly has lost her piggy companions one by one recently due to old age (she was the youngest). Her owners did not want to go through the bonding process again but wanted her to have a friend so decided to find a new home for her. She is a very sweet guinea pig, in very good condition, and is ready to find new friends, either a female or several females, or a neutered male.

All is well with the two girls. Twiglet and Ethel have sniffed between bars. We shall try an introduction soon and they will be closely supervised.

Hi Mairwen
We introduced Ethel and Twiglet a few times over Wednesday and Thurs am and it did get quite hairy, with face offs and teeth rattlings so we intervened, swapping areas so they could get used to each other’s bedding. Breakthroughs yesterday evening – they became accepting of each other. Pictures of them Eating peacefully together as you can see this morning.
