We are quiet on the rehoming front currently, but I know I will soon be inundated with rehome requests once the weather really turns wintery. In the meantime, I have been spending a bit of time trying to improve the mobile version of the CottonTails website (www.cottontails-rescue.org). I want it to be a really useful user-friendly resource centre where owners and potential owners can look up topics with ease and (hopefully) find the answers to their questions.
Here is where you step in! I am looking for a few willing volunteers to go on their phones, iPads etc and have a look at the website, and get back to me with constructive views of what works well and what could be improved. The desktop version generally works well, although the link between the Facebook page and website regarding animals available has been very unreliable due to a fault at the FB end, so this is something we are aware of and are actively trying to find a solution. This applies to the mobile version too.
Your constructive ideas and thoughts would be very much appreciated, and also if you can think of any new related topics, let’s have those ideas too.
No organisation can stand still in today’s world, and CottonTails is no exception. Together we can make this a great information resource that we can all be proud of 😊
Update: Otter has now gone to her new home, and I will add in photos of her in her new home shortly.Image attachment
This pair of 4 month old cockerels need a new home due to neighbour complaints. They are in Warminster. Clearly their new home needs to be somewhere where their calls will not cause a noise nuisance! If you can offer a suitable, permanent home for this pair, get in touch by DM (not comments please) and we will go from there. Their owner George said:
“I believe one to be a speckled Sussex and the other to be a Barred Rock.”Image attachment
I do love a happy ending - or should I say a happy new beginning! Here is Rum (3 year old neutered male) with his new piggy wife. They are very happy 😊Image attachment
As this is our quiet time of year, I thought I would share a positive update on a pair of rabbits listed previously that were successfully adopted. Their owner said:
“I am absolutely loving having Honey and Boo. They are having a great hybrid lifestyle of hopping in and out into the courtyard. They have their own spaces both inside and outside and are kept safe and happy. Thank you for matching me with these delightful little buns.”Image attachmentImage attachment+1Image attachment
Butternut has found her new home! It has taken a while to get the bonding to work, but it was definitely worth the wait, as you can see from the last two photos! Her new partner is called Rodney.Image attachmentImage attachment+1Image attachment
